Today is Jake's 6-month birthday--what a difference from July 27th to January 27th! He got a glowing report at yesterday's checkup. And at just shy of 17 pounds, he's getting moosier by the minute. The doctor said if he hadn't known Jacob's history he never would have guessed he was a preemie. He's a smiling, babbling, bubbly, beautiful baby boy.
As he continues to flourish, we can't help but miss his brother. But despite our sadness, we know he too is flourishing in heaven. Not what we'd hoped and prayed for, but our belief in God's goodness remains steadfast. And the blessings in Grace and Jake multiply faster than we can count. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY!
